About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Manager or Manager to join our Perth Business Advisory and Assurance team. This role will involve providing accurate and timely audit services to our clients and assisting the BA&A team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute audit and assurance engagements for diverse clients, including listed entities and large proprietary companies.
  • Identify and manage risks on assurance engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage a portfolio of engagements, ensuring timely completion and delivery of high-quality reports.
  • Provide advisory and workpaper preparation services to clients, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a central contact point for assigned engagements.
  • Offer value-added services to clients, providing insights and recommendations to improve their financial information.
  • Attend and present client planning and close-out meetings for each engagement.
  • Prepare and present Professional Development training sessions for key issues within the accounting industry.
  • Prepare and review General and Special Purpose Financial Statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Complete and review audit working papers for medium and large engagements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate personnel, ensuring their development and growth.

Requirements

  • CA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
  • 4+ years of Audit experience, preferably from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
  • Exceptional technical audit knowledge, with exposure to tax and advisory services.
  • Broad commercial expertise and judgment, with analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate with senior client staff.
  • Intimate understanding of clients and our business, with the ability to suggest improvements.
  • Able to write technical letters and reports.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
