This role is a senior position leading and developing tactical and strategic initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness of the ICT environment.
The Assistant Director Digital Operations Specialist will partner with digital architecture, security, ICT, Enterprise Service Management, business systems and vendors to provide cross-domain consultancy to meet overall designs for project or BAU related activities impacting ICT services.
The focus is on building a future-ready operational foundation that supports growth, agility, and success in a fast-paced and complex environment.
The successful candidate will have deep understanding of essential 8/PSPF relating to government regulatory requirements, knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, domain, and Azure Administration.
They will also have experience in leading work through scrum and related project frameworks, creating and developing technical documentation, prioritizing and managing competing demands.
Additionally, the candidate should have strong stakeholder engagement, relationship-building, and change management skills, highly developed written and oral communication skills.
This role is primarily around managing, maintaining, and enhancing the ICT environment through provision of high-quality infrastructure and services advice and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide insights, advice, and support in design and implementation of effective architectures for the ICT environment.
- Guide ICT programs, projects, and improvements to ensure they align with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and industry standards.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on complex infrastructure challenges, developing proposals for recommended solutions.
- Drive and evaluate operational performance outcomes contributing to achievement of the ICT Operations section.
- Oversight of root cause analysis and problem rectification activities, system changes required to prevent incident recurrence.
- Foster culture driving high performance, collaboration, agility, and accountability in delivery of ICT services. Modelling strong risk management focus in-line with technology and governance frameworks.
- Lead, motivate, mentor team members fostering ongoing professional development, knowledge transfer, career growth.
- Develop use cases recommending enhanced automated processes to release innovative solutions into live environment timely, repeatable fashion.
