Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team at Mumbida Windfarm in Geraldton, Western Australia.

This is a permanent role working normal hours Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and implementation of upgrades on wind turbines locally and across Australia where required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance routines
  • Repairing defective plant equipment
  • Operating assigned plants
  • Documenting activities
  • Ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance requirements

In addition, the successful candidate will respond to afterhours call-outs, provide support to other wind farm sites as required, participate in training sessions, and travel across sites to support maintenance.

Required qualifications include an accredited Electrical Trade Qualification, preferably with Wind Turbine Experience or Accreditation, a Current Driver's License, and High Voltage Switching experience and qualification desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining optimal turbine performance
  • Repairing and maintaining electrical systems, mechanical components, and control systems
  • Operating and assisting with the operation of wind turbines and associated equipment
  • Documenting all activities, readings taken, materials used, and time spent on tasks
  • Ensuring adherence to quality assurance requirements and procedures
  • Responding to emergency situations and performing after-hours call-outs as required

Requirements:

An accredited Electrical Trade Qualification, preferably with Wind Turbine Experience or Accreditation, a Current Driver's License, and High Voltage Switching experience and qualification desirable.
