Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Manufacturing and Fabrication Team and work in a state-of-the-art fabrication facility. As a Welder - Fabrication Specialist, you will be working on a variety of complex and high-profile projects, gaining hands-on experience and working within a world-class team.

Key Responsibilities
As a Welder - Fabrication Specialist, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Undertaking and passing all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes.
- Performing the welding of steel components in all positions.
- Maintaining all correct consumables, feeds, amperages, and preheat in accordance with applicable weld procedures.
- Performing welding techniques, including MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW.
- Welding steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components.
- Removing tack welds, cleaning, and restoring weld preparations where required.
- Performing gouging operations if required.
- Conducting visual inspection and clean-up between runs and at the completion of each weld.
- Assigning welder number to each completed mark when required.
- Slinging and moving steel components with gantry cranes, mobile lifting equipment, etc.
- Maintaining correct and accurate MARK numbers on steel components.
- Utilizing all hand tools and welding machines to perform required functions.
- Following quality control systems and techniques.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Recognised Welding Certificate.
- Gantry Crane competency.
- Dogging Certificate.
- Previous records of passed welder qualifications (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to pass appropriate Weld Test.
- Minimum 3 years with similar welding processes, specifications, and standards.
