About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Buyer to manage procurement of Engineering Steel products. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials that meet our quality and operational standards.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Engineering Steels
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and support sales forecasting
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage international supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
  • Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Shipping, Warehouse, etc.)
  • Report on procurement performance, supplier metrics, and cost savings
Requirements
  • 3-5 years experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Engineering Steels industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and sourcing practices and processes
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across departments and Divisions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and adapt to changing market conditions

This position requires strong market awareness, negotiation skills, and ability to influence purchasing decisions. You'll play a key role in planning procurement activities, developing sourcing strategies, and aligning stock levels with business and sales needs.
