We are seeking an experienced Assistant Winemaker to join our team at Bunnamagoo Estate Wines in Mudgee. Our winery produces award-winning wines across various varietals and premium price points. We source fruit mainly from our estate vineyards located next to our modern winery.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Winemaker, cellar team, and other locally based staff to perform all winery operations from grape processing to bottling. This includes performing laboratory analysis, overseeing maintenance and hygiene of the winemaking facility, maintaining relevant records, and identifying and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Performing winery operations from grape processing to bottling
- Conducting basic laboratory analysis
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic winemaking facility
- Managing records and information in various systems
- Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborating with the Bunnamagoo Estate wines team
The ideal candidate will have tertiary studies in Oenology, at least 3 years' experience working in winemaking roles, strong practical skills and experience in operating cellar machinery, a collaborative approach to working in a team, and a valid driver's license and own transport. Vineyard experience and mechanical aptitude or equipment maintenance experience are highly regarded.
