We are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to spearhead the delivery of critical infrastructure projects, specifically high-voltage transmission lines and substations. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking project that will significantly enhance Australia's energy capacity.

The HumeLink West Project is a key component of this endeavor, aiming to connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle, and Bannaby in regional NSW. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and strict safety and quality standards.

About the Role:

  • You will lead the end-to-end construction of green and brownfield substation projects, including planning, execution, outages, and close-out.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and subcontractors, to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Enforce and monitor strict safety protocols and environmental compliance, adapting risk management strategies for high-voltage work.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, progress, and adherence to standards.
  • Resolve on-site issues proactively and facilitate conflict resolution between team members and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in power distribution, generation, or heavy civils construction, with at least 5 years in management roles, preferably in high-voltage substations or similar projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of high-voltage substation construction methods, materials, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong understanding of OHS and environmental legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Relevant construction safety certifications and a valid Construction Card.
