At Chairo Christian School, we are committed to providing excellence in Christ-centred education and seeking a dedicated Secondary Science/Biology Teacher to join our Senior School team at our Pakenham campus.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this teacher will be to deliver the curriculum in a manner consistent with the guidelines and policies set by the school board and leadership team from a Christian worldview perspective.

In addition to delivering the curriculum, you will also foster a safe and caring environment for all students while endeavouring to role model the love of Jesus Christ to all.

  • Maintain a learning environment that encourages positive attitudes towards learning and sets challenging yet achievable expectations for students;
  • Effectively assess student performance and provide feedback in an encouraging and confidence-building manner;
  • Plan and carry out daily activities to fulfil the objectives of the school's educational policies and mission statement;
  • Build relationships with students and parents in a manner that establishes a partnering approach to learning;

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about Science education and has experience teaching at secondary level. A preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching VCE Biology.

A competitive salary package of $70,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
