About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Desk Analyst to join our team at Western Downs Regional Council. As a key member of our Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support for a wide range of software and hardware systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve problems through effective communication and conflict management.
  • Utilize basic IT knowledge to receive and handle requests for technical support, logging problems and escalating unresolved calls as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to ensure seamless delivery of technical support services.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Sound general IT knowledge, including hardware and software, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
