Senior Project Manager Job Opportunity

The role of Senior Project Manager is a pivotal position in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects nationwide.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead project teams, overseeing design development, procurement, and cost reporting while ensuring full compliance with client specifications and safety standards.

  • Deliver projects from pre-contracts through to handover.
  • Oversee design development, procurement, subcontractor management, and cost reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with Sydney Water specifications and safety standards.
  • Manage and mentor a team including Engineers, CAs, and Supervisors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks early in the delivery process.

This leadership role combines site presence with commercial oversight and strategic input. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the civil construction industry and be able to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

  • A proven track record of delivering water and utilities projects up to $50 million.
  • A strong understanding of Sydney Water specs and delivery processes.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractors.
  • Excellent stakeholder and team management skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
