Your Role:

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes and communities. Your work will be varied and rewarding, including:

  • Personal care assistance: Providing personal care and assisting with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.">
  • Medication management: Supporting clients with medication management and ensuring they take their medications correctly.">
  • Domestic tasks and meal preparation: Helping clients with domestic tasks and meal preparation, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals and clean living environments.">
  • Community access and empowerment: Assisting clients to access community services and supporting them to achieve their goals and live independently.">
  • Empowering clients: Working closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their lives.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in aged care or healthcare.">
  • Personal care skills and ability to administer medications safely.">
  • Manual handling and bowel care training (highly regarded).">
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.">
  • Compassionate and patient mindset.">
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.">
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.">

Availability:

This role requires support on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 11am and 5pm, with the possibility of additional hours as your client portfolio grows.
