Unlock a new career path in employment services with APM. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of job seekers by empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders, including employers and job seekers, to deliver tailored employment solutions. The role is exciting, challenging, inclusive and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure employment opportunities for job seekers with local employers
  • Support job seekers to identify skills required to become job ready
  • Deliver quality service while adhering to all contractual and compliance requirements
  • Enhance job seekers employability through training and support service referrals
  • Develop personalized job plans for clear employment pathways
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers and community groups

The ideal candidate will be driven, solution-focused with a can-do approach, motivated to go above and beyond for job seekers, have excellent communication skills and demonstrate composure and adaptability through the day-to-day challenges of the role. Transferable skills from sales, retail, call centre, hospitality, consulting, business development, and administration are highly valued.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • A MyGovID (Standard level)
  • Willing to complete a National Police Check
  • Able to pass a Working with Children Check
  • Available to work Full-Time Monday to Friday 8 : 30am - 5 : 00pm
