Role Overview

The role is designed to provide support and guidance to clients with alcohol and/or other drug use, engaged in the Local Court Systems for up to 12 weeks. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for implementing programs aimed at achieving optimal outcomes for clients.

You will be based on the Lower Mid-North Coast in close proximity to Forster and Taree, supporting continuous improvement initiatives while providing evidence-based practice. You will be supported by MERIT and DACS colleagues as well as the Health Service Manager, District Allied Health Clinical Lead, District Manager and the Court Diversion services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an approachable non-judgemental manner, active listening skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues. You must also hold a degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling providing eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association or full registration through AHPRA.

  • Must have 3 years full-time equivalent experience in Social Work or Counselling.
  • Eligible to drive in NSW and willing to travel for work potentially over long distances.
