The University of South Australia is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Water Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the area of water resources, with a focus on water quality, climate change, and natural resource management.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop engaging and relevant curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Water Engineering, particularly in the areas of water resources, water quality, climate change, and natural resource management.
- Undertake administrative duties related to teaching activities, including the development of course and program materials.
- Coordinate and lead teaching teams in the delivery of courses and programs.
- Deliver high-quality teaching that is informed by relevant research, scholarship, and industry practice.
- Provide quality and timely feedback, academic counseling, mentoring, and advice to students.
- A doctoral qualification in Civil, Water, or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources, for both service and discipline-specific teaching in the Civil, Water, or Environmental Engineering or closely allied disciplines at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake industry-engaged research in one or more of the following areas that contribute to UniSA's research strengths and strategic directions: urban hydrology and water sensitive urban design, water quality, hydraulic structures and flow measurement, water use in agriculture and forestry, climate change and water resource management.
- Understanding of and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies, including digital techniques where appropriate.
- An established record of research publications, student supervision, and/or grant acquisition, relative to experience.
