About the Opportunity

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee all electrical inspections, maintenance, and repairs on QUBE's Fixed Equipment and Mobile Fleet. This position involves coordinating the day-to-day electrical activities of the Utah Point Bulk Handling Facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delegate tasks to direct reports or subcontractors in line with their skills, knowledge, and abilities, and identify skill gaps and training requirements as needed.
  • Ensure direct or contractor reports comply with Company policies and procedures before work is carried out.
  • Ensure compliance with all Statutory obligations relating to section 5 of the Mine Safety Inspection Regulations and/or relevant Legislative obligations.
  • Organize, supervise, and/or conduct electrical maintenance work carried out on the Atlas Iron owned Stockyard 2 outload fixed equipment at the Utah Point Facility.
  • Ensure all completed electrical work pertaining to Statutory obligations are submitted to PPA for their records.
  • Organize and supervise electrical work carried out on the RSS (11 in total), Mobile Plant equipment, and Ancillary equipment at the Utah Point Facility.
  • Ensure maintenance information is recorded and retained for future reference and auditing purposes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in Fixed Plant and Mobile Plant Mining equipment.
  • Prior experience in the administration of digital maintenance systems.
  • An Electrical fitter/mechanic trade certificate – "A" Grade WA Endorsed.
  • A High Voltage ticket is essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards.
  • The ability to deliver effective electrical decisions to ensure plant reliability and operability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.
  • The ability to work well within a small team environment.
