Grain Quality Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to assist in the assessment and classification of grain receival via road and rail, maintain grain quality recording systems during storage, and collaborate with operational staff to ensure outturn of grain meets specified quality and quarantine requirements.

This role involves ensuring grain quality and related systems at port operate at a satisfactory level. Key responsibilities include maintaining OHS standards, grain assessment records, training and competency records, testing equipment maintenance and calibration, site hygiene, environmental considerations, and compliance with policies and procedures.

About Your Experience:
  • A sound knowledge of grain receival, outturn standards, and grain quality testing systems
  • An excellent attention to detail and organisational skillset
  • A high level of interpersonal skills including customer relationship management abilities
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, SAP, databases, and systems)
  • Experience in similar lab environments, preferably grain-related is highly beneficial
