Nurse - Haematology Outpatient Unit

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Haematology Outpatient Unit. This is a permanent full-time position, requiring the successful candidate to be fully chemotherapy competent and proficient in CVAD management and IV Cannulation.

  • Responsibilities include performing comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients, identifying and implementing discharge-planning requirements, planning appropriate care in consultation with the patient and multidisciplinary team, prioritizing and implementing planned care to achieve expected outcomes of established priorities, evaluating patient progress and revising nursing interventions where required, and timely and complete documentation of nursing care and patient's progress in the patient's medical record.

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Cancer Services Nursing
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organized manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Chemotherapy competent and IV Cannulation (IVC) competent
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
