Senior Perinatal Mental Health Clinician/Navigator

This role involves providing expert guidance and clinical decision-making to facilitate timely access to the right PIMH services, prioritizing client safety and wellbeing.
- Facilitate intake, triage, and screening of referrals to connect parents experiencing moderate to severe perinatal and infant mental health concerns with tailored, appropriate services.
- Coordinate care pathways by collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including CaFHS clinicians, Aboriginal Cultural Consultants, and community providers to ensure integrated, culturally appropriate support.
- Provide comprehensive perinatal biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and develop individualized care plans including risk management and safeguarding.
- A relevant degree enabling full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- For Nurse Consultant, a registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience and proven ability to conduct comprehensive perinatal biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and develop individualized care plans including risk management and safeguarding.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams, including Aboriginal families and communities.
