Grounds and Gardens Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Grounds and Gardens Supervisor to lead a dedicated team of up to eight and manage key contractor relationships to develop and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces for our partner's Retirement Villages and Aged Care Homes.

The successful candidate will have the vision and leadership skills to inspire a team while delivering top-notch results, driving innovative landscaping projects that align with sustainability and aesthetics, ensuring quality service delivery by overseeing contractors and managing stakeholder expectations, maintaining high standards of compliance and safety across all grounds-related activities, and working within budget constraints to achieve outstanding results.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals in grounds and gardens management.
  • Drive creative and sustainable landscaping projects that enhance the visual appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces.
  • Ensure quality service delivery by supervising contractors and managing client expectations.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across all grounds-related activities.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree in horticulture, landscaping, or facilities management (preferred).
  • At least five years of supervisory or managerial experience in grounds and gardens management.
  • Expertise in horticulture, landscaping techniques, and sustainable practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • A strong commitment to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
