Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to manage and support our drivers and transport department. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating daily orders, managing driver rosters, and ensuring safe loading procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate daily orders into runs to meet customer time and expectation.
  • Organize and maintain driver rosters to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure safe loading procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Regularly communicate with customers to prevent internal/external demurrage.
  • Liaise with customers and drivers to ensure timely distribution of product.
  • Ensure drivers return all dunnage and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Liaise with Production Planning and bar production to prioritize load status.
  • Organize delivery of customer return products.
  • Print paperwork for production planning team and customers.
  • Meet chain of responsibility, compliance, and transport legislation.
  • Answer and manage customer calls and transport queries.
  • Follow up on delivery queries or issues and escalate significant issues.
  • Undertake backup position for Production Planning when required.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as directed by the Transport and Logistics Manager.

Requirements

  • Appropriate experience or qualifications relevant to the role.
  • Solid understanding of transport coordination.
  • Experience building efficient runs for drivers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with effective rapport building skills.
  • Strong administration skills and competency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Current driver's license.
