About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. As a Speech Therapist with Ability Action Australia, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality speech pathology services. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and treat clients with communication disorders, develop personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' communication needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address speech and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and research in speech pathology.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia as a Speech Pathologist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
