Public Space Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to undertake day-to-day maintenance of public spaces. This team-based role is an integral part of the Parks department, responsible for providing services that meet the needs of customers across the range of local government open space services.
The successful candidate will have experience in horticultural maintenance, including mowing, landscaping, weed control, cleaning, trimming and other associated park maintenance functions. They will also provide assistance and information to members of the public when requested and be responsible for the care of grounds, maintenance and landscaping equipment.
- Under direction by the Crew Leader, maintain open space to specified standards;
- Provide assistance and information to members of the public when requested;
- Care for grounds, maintenance and landscaping equipment;
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and possess excellent communication skills. They will also be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience and/or qualifications in horticulture or a related field;
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills;
- A level of physical fitness required to perform the physical inherent requirements of the position;
- A current Australian Driver's licence;
- A satisfactory Police Records Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
