Leadership Role: Correctional Centre Manager

The role of the Correctional Centre Manager is to provide leadership and direction for the effective management of all aspects of a correctional centre, including staff, inmate and visitor safety and security. This involves compliance with policy, duty of care requirements, defined standards and key performance indicators.

This position also leads and directs special projects or specialised services within Corrective Services NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and drive innovation to improve benchmark performance in correctional practice
  • Maintain a diverse and inclusive organisation culture
  • Provide training and development opportunities to build and maintain capabilities
  • Manage talent pool creation to fill future ongoing and temporary roles state-wide

As a Correctional Centre Manager, you will utilise your proven senior managerial experience and knowledge to meet the demands of this role efficiently and effectively. You understand the diverse correctional environment and working with people in custody.

Requirements:
  • Driver Licence with the ability and willingness to drive throughout NSW
  • Be available on call at set times to respond to emergencies
  • Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Regulations and Chain of Responsibility Policy and Procedures (CESU roles only)
