About This Role

Our organisation is seeking dedicated individuals to provide person-centred care and support to older people in their own homes, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing essential care services - assisting with personal care activities such as showering and dressing
  • Supporting clients with daily tasks - meal preparation, light housekeeping and household management
  • Transporting clients to appointments and facilitating shopping trips
  • Managing medication administration

This role requires regular travel to clients' homes using your own vehicle for which you'll receive a mileage reimbursement rate plus paid travel time.

About You
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills and are patient, empathetic and solution-focused.
  • Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate in any of the following languages: Arabic, Turkish or Samoan. Experience in culturally specific caregiving is highly valued
  • You may have prior experience in aged or community care or be new to the sector.
  • You hold a valid driver's licence and have access to an insured, reliable vehicle (minimum Third Party Property Insurance).
  • Ideal candidates will possess a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support; however, we can assist with training if you're not currently qualified.
  • You must be flexible in meeting the changing needs of home care clients.
