Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and assurance on procurement and contract processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and assurance on procurement and contract processes, including developing and reviewing procurement plans, request for tender documentation, panel arrangements, evaluations, negotiations, probity matters, contracts, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Respond to advice requests in a timely professional manner, escalating sensitive or complex issues to the team where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external entities to achieve service delivery outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, templates, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of government procurement frameworks, policies, and requirements.
  • Experience undertaking end-to-end procurement, including reviewing and providing constructive advice on procurement plans, approval minutes, contracts, and evaluation reports.
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement by updating intranet pages and delivering training.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and strategic directions.
