Senior Automation Engineer Job

We are seeking a seasoned automation professional to join our team in managing the implementation, maintenance and ownership of PCS/MES and PLC process recipes.

This role will include coordinating the definition of required hardware with the platform owner, including software development and system coordination, to enable commissioning and validation of process systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contractors' work during design, construction, commissioning, and validation, ensuring overall recipe design and implementation meets engineering and manufacturing requirements.

They will also ensure installation and configuration to the ISA-S88/S95 standard during project phases, participate in creating an execution system validation strategy, and perform project management duties on an interim basis.

To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor of Science in an engineering or relevant science discipline, at least 5 years of practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including direct management experience in manufacturing, engineering, or execution systems/automation.

Specific experience in process automation, MES, and batch manufacturing industry standards (ISA S88 &S95) is highly desirable. Direct experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting automation and execution systems in a process-based manufacturing environment is essential.

Job Requirements
