Chief Automation Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess technical expertise and want to take on a leadership role in managing the implementation, maintenance, and ownership of PCS/MES and PLC process recipes.

• This role requires overseeing contractors/integrators work during design, construction, commissioning, and validation as a technical subject matter expert.
• You will ensure that overall recipe design and implementation meets engineering and manufacturing requirements for plant operation.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for installation and configuration to ISA-S88/S95 standard across project phases including requirements definition, detailed design generation, software configuration, system integration, and qualification testing.
• Contributing to creation of Execution System validation strategy together with CSV & Quality representatives and participating in audit inspections is also a key aspect of this role.
• In addition, you will perform Project Manager Role on an interim basis ensuring project work is completed within budget and on schedule.

• A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or other relevant science discipline is required.
• Candidates must have at least 5 years' practical experience in pharmaceutical industry including direct management experience in manufacturing, engineering, or execution systems/automation.
• Specific experience in process automation, MES, and batch manufacturing industry standards (ISA S88 & S95) is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience in recipe and workflow authoring, configuring master data, and equipment in MES is advantageous.
• Direct experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting automation and execution systems in a process-based manufacturing environment is essential.
