About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Trainer to join our team on a casual or contractor basis. This role involves delivering engaging and effective training sessions, assessing student competencies, and ensuring compliance with training and assessment standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training and assessment for carpentry qualifications, specifically Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220), in line with the national training package.
  • Work together with our Quality team to conduct a training needs analysis, customised training for classroom-based training, and workplace training for individuals and small groups.
  • The ability to review, write, and re-design the structure and content of learning and training resources.

Requirements:

  • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning;
  • Relevant qualifications in Carpentry (e.g., Certificate III in Carpentry or higher).
  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40122 upgrade).
  • Proven industry experience in carpentry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • LLN TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A
  • Working with Children Check;
  • VIT Registration (Preferred)
  • Current Police Check: within the last 12 months;
  • Ability to complete training documentation in line with Frontier's policies and procedures;
  • A minimum of 3 years of job experience in training and assessing is desired.
