We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team and contribute to the development of culturally responsive workforce practices.

About the Role
  • This role will play a key part in providing high-level human resource advisory services, including case management and organisational change.
  • The successful candidate will use workforce data and business insights to develop and implement strategies that enhance workforce capability and staff engagement.
  • You will lead the development and review of HR projects and initiatives to align with our Strategic Workforce Plan.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in interpreting and applying public sector legislation, policies, and agreements. You will also have strong communication skills, able to deliver impactful presentations and prepare high-quality submissions and correspondence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert HR advice to senior managers on complex workforce matters, including case management and organisational change.
  2. Use workforce data and metrics to develop and implement long-term strategies that enhance workforce capability and staff engagement.
  3. Lead the development and review of HR projects and initiatives to align with our Strategic Workforce Plan.
  4. Drive the integration of Queensland public sector strategic workforce priorities into HR policies, procedures, and operational activities.
  5. Demonstrate cultural capability and respect in all interactions, promoting a positive and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent or be accepted as such by their community.
  • Hold relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Demonstrate expertise in HR policy development, employee relations, and organisational change.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at AU$120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
