Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence
    • Develop and implement operational plans to achieve performance targets and branch KPIs, providing recommendations for improvement to ensure financial budgetary requirements are met.
    • Ensure customer-centricity in all activities undertaken by the team, considering the impact on customer service delivery in decision-making.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide sound and timely decisions on day-to-day operational matters for the branch.
    • Effectively manage labour costs, ensuring that labour is managed within budget requirements and productivity is optimized.
    • Lead and apply a proactive and preventative approach to HSE issues affecting the site and/or the work area.
  • Team Development
    • Create and maintain a positive working environment, and proactively look to mentor and upskill the current team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the logistics industry and knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of HSE-related legislative and regulatory requirements (e.g. WHS legislation, Chain of Responsibility requirements).
  • Strong conflict resolution, performance management, coaching, training, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
