Workshop Engineer Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to modify, rework and test hydraulic components in a workshop setting to meet client specifications. This involves the manufacturing and testing of hydraulic power units, as well as providing support for local customers on-site.

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • A recognised trade qualification as a Fitter, Turner & Machinist or Plant Mechanic with experience in hydraulics is essential.
  • Familiarity with fitting mobile and fixed plant applications is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control are vital.
  • Desirable skills include fault finding and experience with mining equipment.
  • Low voltage electrical knowledge is advantageous.
