About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional to oversee the overall maintenance of our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising maintenance staff, conducting equipment checks, and performing various housekeeping and support service functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor maintenance staff within the team to ensure high standards of maintenance and repair work.
  • Supervise the overall maintenance of internal and external facilities, including reactive and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with essential safety requirements, including fire safety, electrical, and legislative tasks.
  • Manage and maintain compliance documentation as per the Planned Preventative Maintenance Manual.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience in building and grounds maintenance, including strong safety knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage complex workloads and priorities.
  • Strong understanding and ability to select suitable tools and techniques, including electrical power tools and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of the aged care industry and application of the Aged Care Quality & Safety Standards.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills with patience and sensitivity for resident liaison.

Requirements

  • Preferred trade background or previous experience in building maintenance.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Full Covid vaccination (including booster).
  • QLD NDIS screening check.
