Job Title: Laboratory Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled laboratory coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily scheduling for field testers and contractors, ensuring accurate and compliant testing for a wide range of concrete and construction materials.

About the Role:

  • Coordinate Field and Laboratory Testing: Schedule and organize daily sampling and testing of concrete and construction materials for production and project assessments, including assisting with lab trials and batching.
  • Customer and Compliance Support: Develop strong relationships with internal/external customers, assist in meeting technical requirements, and ensure tests align with relevant standards and frequencies.
  • Maintain Quality and Accreditation Standards: Follow established procedures and systems, maintain accreditation standards, and perform equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Support technical reporting, including signing off on concrete and aggregate test reports (training provided if not already a signatory).

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in construction materials testing
  • Strong leadership attributes including good people management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with AS/TfNSW standards and accreditation requirements (desirable)
  • Experience with concrete allocation and lab systems like Command/QestLab (training provided)
  • Cert IV/Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (advantageous)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
