Job Description

We are seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and availability of stock levels, managing raw material production requirements, and effectively converting stock to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the availability of materials for production.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to validate inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring alignment between physical stock and system records.
  • Monitor stock levels, anticipate demands, and collaborate with procurement and production teams to optimize inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with production planning and procurement teams to accurately forecast raw material requirements based on production schedules and customer orders.
  • Stock Conversion: Coordinate the conversion of stock items to finished goods, ensuring efficient utilization of materials, and minimizing waste.
  • Conduct periodic audits to assess inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of inventory-related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management, recordkeeping, and reporting.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Controller or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or issues.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
