Job Summary:

APG Workforce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Poultry Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our poultry farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our birds, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and manage a team of farm workers, providing guidance and training to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain Records and Reports: Accurately record and maintain records of bird health, cost control, and other relevant farm operations data.
  • Liaise with Upper Management: Communicate regularly with farm management and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure Bird Health and Welfare: Implement and maintain best practices for bird health and welfare, including vaccinations, feeding, and cleaning of sheds.
  • Implement WHS Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace health and safety policies and procedures, including quarantine awareness and protocols.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of farm facilities, including sheds and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Current Driver's License and Reliable Transport: Must have a current driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to and from the farm.
  • Full Working Rights in Australia: Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • Proven Animal Husbandry Experience: Must have proven experience in animal husbandry, preferably in the poultry industry.
  • Proven Skills in Management of Personnel: Must have proven skills in managing personnel, including leadership and training.
  • Experience in Poultry Industry: Must have experience working in the poultry industry.
  • Strong Safety Focus and Quarantine Awareness: Must have a strong safety focus and quarantine awareness.
  • Good Time Management and Communication Skills: Must have good time management and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
