Tax Advisory Associate Director

We are seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Associate Director to join our Business and Tax Advisory team in a dynamic, supportive environment. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to deliver high-quality tax advisory services, leveraging your expertise in Australian taxation law and regulations.
About the Role:
- This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist division of KPMG Australia, dedicated to advising emerging, private, and mid-market businesses.
- You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for discretionary trusts, companies, and individuals.
- Your role will involve providing taxation advice on personal income tax, capital gains tax, superannuation, and private company tax issues.
- As a project manager, you will lead the annual compliance process for multiple client groups.
- You will also provide personalized structuring advice, coordinate new client onboarding, and mentor junior team members.
- In addition, you will share knowledge within the team to create efficiencies and participate in training and development opportunities.
- Our systems include Microsoft Suite (intermediate to advanced Excel) and APS Tax; experience working in these systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
About You:
- You have relevant tertiary qualifications and intermediate experience with the preparation and review of financial statements and Australian income tax returns.
- Excellent attention to detail and high-level organizational skills are essential for this role.
- You can work effectively under pressure, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- A friendly, professional attitude, pro-active approach, and strong communication skills are crucial for success in this position.
- CA or CPA (or equivalent) qualification is required.
