Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced training professional to deliver high-quality instruction and guidance for Surface Mining Equipment (SME) across multiple platforms.

This role requires effective interaction with trainees, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining valid and reliable training records within company systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Simulator Trainer, you will lead the delivery of SME training programs, ensuring that trainees receive comprehensive instruction and assessment. Your expertise in Surface Mining Equipment operation, combined with your knowledge of WHS legislative requirements, will be invaluable in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality training sessions, both face-to-face and online
  • Providing constructive feedback to trainees to enhance their performance
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement training strategies
  • Leading workshops and presentations on various topics related to SME operations

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV TAE 40116 Training and Assessment qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of SME and ancillary mining equipment
  • WHS legislative requirements knowledge
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 5 years SME experience in a mining environment
  • Minimum 3 years in a training or instructional role
  • Experience in delivering content, such as Inductions
