Job Description

This role provides strategic leadership in public relations and media management to enhance the Council's public image and brand awareness, in collaboration with senior leadership to develop and implement effective communication strategies.

About This Role

The Team Leader Public Relations and Media is responsible for providing strategic leadership in public relations and media management. This position involves collaborating with senior leadership to develop and implement effective communication strategies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in public relations and media management. They will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications or a related field.
  • Experience in strategic public relations within a diverse organisation.
  • Proven ability to manage media responses during crisis situations.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
