The role of a Principal Deal Negotiator is pivotal in driving the growth and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) across diverse industries. Reporting to AWS Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS), this individual will be responsible for negotiating Private Pricing Agreements (PPAs) and developing deal negotiation strategies that align with AWS objectives.

A successful candidate will have at least 15 years of experience working on substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services/infrastructure deals from opportunity through closure. They must possess strong legal expertise on large and complex IT commercial deal terms, with the ability to advise C-level executives, IT teams, lines of business, procurement, finance, and internal stakeholders on commercial and contractual terms.

About the Role:

  • Develop overall deal negotiation strategies and negotiate PPAs to maximize value for both parties.
  • Execute deal and competitive structures that align with AWS objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership on executing competitive commercial, channel, and partner deal opportunities.
  • Advise key stakeholders on the impact of deal terms and provide creative solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers on commercial and contractual terms.
