About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering core components of allied health courses, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for our students.

The appointee will work closely with the Departments of Health and Education, the Tasmanian Health Service, private practices, and community stakeholders to support students in becoming evidence-based practitioners. They will also contribute to the development of teaching materials, delivery of teaching, and student assessment, including the use of emerging technologies.

The incumbent will primarily coordinate and teach Physiotherapy subjects in cardiorespiratory and/or neurological physiotherapy and may teach other areas as needed. They will also contribute to a School committed to a set of workplace principles that facilitate a culture of staff wellbeing and achievement of our collective mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality learning experiences for students
  • Work closely with stakeholders to support students in becoming evidence-based practitioners
  • Contribute to the development of teaching materials and student assessment
  • Teach Physiotherapy subjects in cardiorespiratory and/or neurological physiotherapy
  • Contribute to a School committed to staff wellbeing and achievement of our collective mission

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (PBA)
  • Completion of a Master and/or PhD in a relevant health discipline
  • Clinical expertise with recency or currency in cardiorespiratory or neurological physiotherapy practice
  • Experience and demonstrated achievement in university-level multidisciplinary learning and teaching

What We Offer:

  • A total remuneration package of up to $150,759 comprising base salary within the range of $110,992 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation
