**Network Design and Support Role**

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to develop and implement network designs, best practices, and connectivity solutions to support trading systems.
  • The ideal candidate will manage network performance, risk, and capacity, while evaluating third-party network devices and solutions.
  • They will monitor network health and provide 24x7 support, collaborating closely with technology and business teams to coordinate configuration changes.

Our team works on determining root-cause analysis, recommending network optimizations, and participating in firm-wide projects. We troubleshoot issues that could include local/wide area networks, OSI Layer 1-3, wireless networks, and third-party vendor connections in a multi-vendor environment across multiple locations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or a similar technical major is required.
  • Experience in WAN/LAN network support, specifically troubleshooting OSI Layer 1-3 problems, multicast, and routing protocols, is necessary.
  • 5+ years of professional experience and demonstrated knowledge of network hardware, local area networks, internet protocols, fiber and copper optics, Ethernet, 802.1 standards, low latency optimization, and wireless technologies are required.
  • Arista Networks hardware experience and 5 years of experience working with EOS and/or NX-OS operating systems are also necessary.
  • Familiarity with third-party products such as Netbox/Nautobot, AWX/Ansible, Nagios, Prometheus, Atlassian suite, and VMWare is a plus.
  • Scripting experience in Python or Perl is preferred, as is the ability to work off-shift and weekends as part of a 24x7 support rotation.
