The Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Administrator to join our team in Altona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of home insurance claims from lodgment through to repair and claim completion. This will involve coordinating with assessors, sub-contractors and clients to ensure timely and satisfactory outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate claims processing, including assessor reports and estimates, sub-contractor arrangements and invoicing.
  • Manage diaries of BBS supervisors to schedule appointments with clients.
  • Coordinate trades to undertake repairs as required, prioritizing urgent matters such as plumbing and electrical issues.
  • Prepare and send purchase orders for works to be completed.
  • Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion within agreed time frames.
  • Perform general office administration tasks as required.
  • Invoicing - Cost control and processing invoices for our accounts staff.
  • Assist with CAT events and storms, performing additional duties as required.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of domestic insurance claims industry and procedures.
  • Transferable experience gained in a similar role in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead, plan and manage change.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Great positive communication skills and ability to build relationships with strata, insurance companies, intermediaries, property managers and government departments.
