We are currently seeking highly skilled trade qualified Light Vehicle Motor Mechanics to join our client's multiple workshops in Australia.

Our client is a well-established national company recognised as one of the leading auto mechanical service and tyre retailers in Australia.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance services, detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts, dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanism and other components, testing and adjusting mechanical parts, inspecting vehicles for road worthiness, repairing and replacing worn or defective parts, and tyre fitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
  • Detect and diagnose complex problems with engines and parts
  • Carry out maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts
  • Test and adjust mechanical components to ensure optimal performance
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A trade qualification in Light Vehicle Motor Mechanics
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working as an Automotive Technician
  • A current driver's license
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is estimated to be between $70,000-$75,000 excluding superannuation. In addition to a competitive salary, our client offers a range of benefits including overtime pay, product discounts, and laundered uniforms.
