Diesel Motor Mechanic Position

Offshore Staff Assist is seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their team in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine maintenance and repair, combined with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed diagnostics to identify faults and issues within diesel engines.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and servicing tasks to prevent breakdowns and enhance engine longevity.
  • Repair or replace defective or worn parts using a comprehensive range of tools and equipment, including precision instruments and welding gear.
  • Ensure engines are calibrated and adjusted to meet superior operational efficiency standards.
  • Fabricate necessary metal parts as required.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all engines serviced and repairs undertaken.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and standards during all maintenance and repair operations.
  • Collaborate closely with management to plan and prioritize maintenance and repair activities efficiently.
  • Stay informed of the latest developments and technological advancements in diesel engine technology.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' direct experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
  • Relevant technical certificates or training in diesel engine repair or related fields.
  • Physical fitness and capability to undertake manual tasks.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, to ensure clear and effective communication with team members and clients.
