Lab Technician Role Overview

This is a great opportunity to develop your laboratory skills and experience with industry-standard equipment in a supportive team environment.

We are looking for an entry-level Laboratory Technician to join our team. As an ideal candidate, you will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards learning.

In this role, you will assist with sampling, preparation, and testing of asphalt and related materials. You will also record and report test results accurately, perform calibrations and routine checks of laboratory equipment, and support lab safety and quality standards.

We offer comprehensive on-the-job training and support to enable the development of essential laboratory skills and experience with industry-standard equipment.

You will be working in a fast-paced laboratory setting, requiring good time management and organisation skills. You will also need to be willing to work in a team and follow instructions.

We encourage recent graduates in science, engineering, or a related field, school leavers, or trainees with a strong interest in technical/laboratory work to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with sampling, preparation, and testing of asphalt and related materials.
  • Record and report test results accurately.
  • Perform calibrations and routine checks of laboratory equipment.
  • Support lab safety and quality standards.
