About the Role

The Grant Writer plays a pivotal role in securing funding and resources to support mission-driven initiatives and programs. This involves conducting research, developing strategic proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to align grant proposals with goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grant Proposal Development:
    • Conduct comprehensive research to identify government grant opportunities.
    • Collaborate with program managers to craft persuasive grant proposals that encapsulate mission, goals, and intended impact.
    • Craft clear, concise, and compelling grant narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
  • Grant Management and Compliance:
    • Maintain meticulous records of grant activities and outcomes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
    • Collaborate with finance and program teams to track expenditures and monitor project progress.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with government agencies and grant-making organizations.
    • Represent the organization at various forums to raise awareness of programs and funding needs.
    • Forge strategic partnerships to maximize grant acquisition efforts.
  • Grant Research and Prospect Development:
    • Continuously research and identify new government grant opportunities aligned with mission.
    • Stay abreast of changes in funding priorities and regulations to adapt grant strategies accordingly.
    • Proactively seek collaboration opportunities to enhance grant acquisition efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in grant writing and management roles, with a focus on securing government grants.
  • Exceptional writing skills, coupled with strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and collaboratively.
