Regional Planning Manager

This is a unique opportunity to join the regional planning team and contribute to the development of strategic plans that drive growth and prosperity across Queensland.

Job Description:
  • Lead the review and implementation of regional plans to achieve government election commitments.
  • Manage staff to accomplish work goals, drive productivity, and review performance to ensure goal achievement and overall effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to develop staff to provide advice on land use planning issues and create a workplace environment that aligns with departmental values.
  • Coordinate and manage research, analysis, and interpretation of complex data and trends to inform regional plan policies under relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate to solve complex problems, build a case for change, and communicate outcomes effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management, project teams, government agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure regional planning project outcomes are achieved.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strategic planning and management skills.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
