About the Role

This leadership opportunity is centered around driving procurement reform and innovation across various functions at a large procuring agency.

As a Director, Procurement Policy, Frameworks & Governance, you will lead a team through transformation — ensuring consistency, compliance, and capability uplift across the enterprise.

  • Develop a centre-led procurement operating model that delivers efficiency and compliance.
  • Establish enterprise-wide procurement policy frameworks to keep pace with changing legislation and regulations.
  • Build scalable processes that support compliance and innovation across goods, services, and construction procurement.

You'll contribute to delivering greater public value, strengthening governance, and achieving outcomes that matter most to the people and communities of NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a centre-led procurement operating model.
  • Establish and update enterprise-wide procurement policy frameworks.
  • Design and enhance procurement processes, tools, and templates.
  • Manage procurement accreditation for Goods and Services.
  • Develop organisation-wide training programs to embed procurement excellence.
  • Align procurement frameworks with best practices in category management and strategic sourcing.
  • Provide expert guidance on policy and framework compliance.
  • Embed Environmental, Social, and Governance principles into procurement.
  • Lead enterprise-level procurement performance reporting.
  • Build, grow, and lead a high-performing team of procurement professionals.
