Job Overview:

The After-Hours Supervisor will provide strategic leadership and oversight during non-business hours, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
  • Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
  • Developing and implementing individual care plans that cater to each resident's unique health requirements and preferences.
  • Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
  • Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in aged care as a registered nurse.
  • Grade 5, registered nurse.
  • Knowledge of aged care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation.
  • Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
