The Southern NSW Local Health District has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Medical Officer with extensive experience to join our global health team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the strengthening of immunisation programs in the Indo-Pacific Region.
The role involves supporting countries in their immunisation policy decision-making, program implementation, vaccine safety surveillance and activities related to gathering evidence to evaluate and inform immunisation programs. You will work closely with our team to provide technical support and supervise evidence-based research relevant to immunisation policy and practice at the state, national and/or international level.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience with the use of biomedical literature and relevant bibliographic databases.
- Familiarity with methods of systematic literature review and framework for evidence-informed development of clinical practice guidelines and/or population health policies.
- Skills in the use of relevant computer packages including Microsoft Office and EndNote.
You will also have the opportunity to engage and liaise with external professional and academic subject experts and represent NCIRS as a subject expert as required.
